How to upload files and folders to a Google Drive

Google Drive is a cloud storage service, and like any cloud storage service its main purpose is to expand your ability to store files beyond the limits of your hard drive.You can upload, view, share, and edit files with Google Drive. When you upload a file to Google Drive, it will take up space in your Drive.

  • Documents
  • Images
  • Audio
  • Video

Upload & view files

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, go to play store and download Google Drive app
  2. After installing it, open the Google Drive app.
  3. Tap on the + symbol
  4. Tap Upload.
  5. Find and tap the files you want to upload.
  6. View uploaded files in My Drive until you move them.

The benefit of using Google Drive is that it  stores your files in their server and you can access them no matter where you are as long as you are able to access the internet.

You can edit and make changes to the files  because google drive gives you instant access to Google Docs, a suite of editing tools that allow you to edit and make changes to your files.

Lastly google drive allow easy search of files, because google drive has the feature of searching by keyword and filter by file type, you get your files very quickly. Even if your file is an image file, you can also search the word in the image file.
