What are we looking for?

You should have at least 5+ WordPress software usage and experience; to show this, you should:

• Be able to set up, install, and configure WordPress on different hosting environments, identify and resolve common issues with WordPress installations, themes, security, and plugins
• Know how to create custom WordPress themes from scratch or modify existing ones. Have at least an intermediate knowledge of HTML, CSS, and PHP for theme development and customization
• Show technical knowledge of debugging tools and techniques for efficient problem-solving when using the WordPress software
• Know, understand, implement, and follow WordPress and PHP coding standards, you have expertise in using hooks, filters, and actions within WordPress for effective plugin development. You have experience with using WP-CLI, Rest APIs, React.js & Node.js libraries, WooCommerce development, Multisites, Github, Docker, Vagrant, et al
• Have a great understanding of error logs and the ability to analyze and address issues promptly
• Have the Capability to develop custom plugins to extend WordPress functionality and can integrate, customize, and troubleshoot third-party plugins
• Implementation of security best practices to protect WordPress websites from common vulnerabilities.
• Be able to implement optimization of website performance through techniques such as caching, image optimization, and code minification.

WordPress Content Writer

We are looking for WordPress content writers who love to write, whose writings make a fun read, and who can break down technical terms for beginners to understand.

You should have at least 1+ WordPress software usage and experience; to show this, you should be able to:

• Share articles about using WordPress you have written in the past
• Show you have an understanding and familiarity with using Gutenberg, Full Site Editor, and a variety of plugins and themes
• Show you have a basic understanding of SEO and Digital Marketing Skills
• & you should have used WordPress to build your site or any customer site(s) you can share.

We are looking for pleasant, empathetic, kind and thoughtful people to join our support team to help users navigate and solve their website problems.

You should have at least 2+ years of WordPress software usage and experience; to show this, you should be able to:

• Show you have used WordPress to build your site or any customer site(s) you can share
• Show your WordPress expertise by knowing the best practices that guide the usage of the WordPress software, know how to debug and troubleshoot common WordPress problems
• Show a very good understanding of the WordPress software from an end-user, backend user, and site owner point of view
• Show you have an understanding and familiarity with using Gutenberg, Full Site Editor, and a variety of plugins and themes.

We are looking for WordPress and UI designers who love and know how to create functional, beautiful, and useful websites and designs.

You should have at least 3+ years of WordPress software usage and experience; to show this, you should be able to:

• Bring to life minimal and complex designs as well as being able to create landing pages that convert
• Build websites using the WordPress software
• Create, document, and implement pre and post-design guidelines that follow the How Do You Tech brand and best practices
• Make changes to existing websites and improve the usability of existing or new sites through your design
• Join the team to support new and old customers in managing and maintaining their WordPress websites.

What are we looking for?

• You love WordPress deeply
• You have a great understanding of the WordPress software
• You have a very good knowledge of prototyping/wireframing using Figma or any other equivalent tools and are proficient in the use of popular design software such as Photoshop, Canva, Figma, etc
• You have a great eye for clean, responsive, and usable designs. You can think independently and can take feedback to improve your work
• You are a team player and can communicate efficiently and effectively
• You have technical know-how on improving website performance and have basic HTML and CSS knowledge
• You are fluent in English (Reading and Writing) and have experience managing websites (security, backups, staging, updates). You also have a good understanding of server and hosting (debugging downtime, staging, cloning, etc) configurations.
