What is phishing?

According to phishing.org, it is a cybercrime in which the target(s) are contacted by email, telephone or text message by someone posing as a legitimate individual or institution.

They lure individuals using clickable links or requesting for sensitive data such as personally identifiable information, banking and credit card details, and passwords.

The information they get is then used to access your important accounts and can result in identity theft and financial loss.

Have you been a victim before, share your lessons with others in the comments to avoid pitfalls.
